影片虽然装不偏不倚没有故意favor哪一方，交给观众自己去做价值判断，但关于英国殖民肯尼亚的背景却没有交代，导致我一开始不理解这些白人哪儿来的没事儿来另一个大洲定居干啥啊后面反应过来原来是前殖民时期的定居者啊！他们觉得自己entitled to Indigenous land和play victim的场景让我觉得很不适，毕竟immigrant 和settler有本质的不同，前者是经过一个领地的人民主体同意后的移居，后者是未经同意的占领/公共土地私有化。看到肯尼亚原住民脖子上戴着巴勒斯坦头巾的时候，感受到这就是indigenous power和solidarity，原住民的团结从黎凡特飘到遥远的非洲草原
True to its title, the film immerses viewers from beginning to end in the depiction of conflict. But it maintains a level-headed perspective, eschewing any sensationalist depiction of these volatile confrontations. It subtly renders warfare with the hues of everyday life, with people confronting conflict as if it were part of their daily routine.

Even though the filmmakers wanted to make it balanced, the White settlers appear indeed stupid - it just shows that they do not deserve to be welcomed on the land their ancestors colonised.
